Kiwi Fab owner, Craig Donaldson, has over 15 years in metal fabrication experience. Craig first began as a fitter/ welder apprentice in New Zealand maintaining and repairing agricultural equipment, grading conveyers, and harvesting machines. After 4 years he became a fabricator for Roadmaster Trailers. He manufactured and fitted heavy transport truck bodies and trailers, using all aspects of welding, fitting, hydraulics and pneumatics.

After he moved to Australia, Craig was employed at Turners Engineering as a fabricating contractor where he worked on heavy earthmoving equipment. Craig’s next employer, B&M Engineering, gave him the opportunity to master all aspects of shop fitting and the required tools. Craig was then recruited by PSF Steel Fabrications as a Manager, where he spent 5 years involved in staff and project management. His responsibilities included not only staff and project management, but he also worked closely with other project managers and architects in designing prototypes. Craig was also the workplace Health and Safety Officer for the company.

In 2006 Craig relocated to the United States and now resides in Eugene Oregon with his (USA born) wife and three children. Craig’s vast experience, knowledge, and passion for his work, fuels his desire to work efficiently and with a high quality of craftsmanship.
